Successful Members Meeting Last Night

Dear Goldcrest Homeowner,

The Goldcrest HOA Board would like to take a moment and thank all 29 homeowners who joined us last night for our annual Goldcrest HOA Annual Homeowners Meeting. It was wonderful to actually see and meet everyone in person after two years of not being able to hold an annual meeting due to the pandemic.

We will be preparing the minutes from our meeting and making those available by request for anyone who is interested in reviewing them. In the meantime, we wanted to send out a few important points that were discussed.

  1. We did not have a quorum in order to vote to raise dues from $400 annually to $425 annually. Per our bylaws, if we do not have a quorum, which requires a minimum of 36 homeowners in attendance, the Board can vote on this issue. Regardless of the lack of quorum, everyone in attendance voted to increase our dues to $425 annually.
  2. Dues are due starting April 1st and no later than May 15th. Invoices will be sent to all homeowners by April 1st.

There are two ways you can pay your dues:

  1. Via check. Make checks payable to Goldcrest HOA and mail them to 1450 Sunnyvale Court NW, Olympia WA 98502. Please include your lot number. If you do not know your lot number, please email us.
  2. Pay your dues online by visiting: www.goldcrestolympia.org. Please note that there is a fee associated with this option that goes to the credit card processor. The HOA does NOT receive the fee.

We also want to let everyone know that we are looking for volunteers to serve our community on the Board! There is currently one position open on the Board. If you are interested, the obligations are not time-consuming. It requires attending a once-monthly Board meeting (which currently is being held virtually during the pandemic) of about two hours, and other occasional meetings, activities, and responsibilities. Each term is two years. Board members are volunteers who care about our neighborhood and devote their time to keep Goldcrest a desirable place to live!
